AS OF 2006, The Oak Cliff Circle of Poets has become a part of a larger citywide poetry Open Mic promotion/production group founded by some of the same poets, along with others, whose goal it is to create a strong entertaining open mic poetry scene throughout Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas. Please see the below link for calandar information on events in Oak Cliff, and all over DFW!

The Oak Cliff Circle of Poets will be featured as a part of the Spring Deep Ellum Poetry Festival , part of the yearly Deep Ellum Arts Festival.
 
 
We will be on stage Sunday April 6th at 3:00pm. Be there! 
 
 
 
 

 
 
OCTOBER 20. 2002
 
The Oak Cliff Circle of Poets will be performing for an hour slot at the Fort Worth Downtown Arts Festival. These festivals are a big bunch of fun and we are hoping to get a big bunch of OCCP'ERS for our slot! Which is Sunday, October 20th, between 5-6 pm. Its on Main Street in Fort Worth, Near Sundance Square. Email Paul with any questions.

May 18, 2002

The Oak Cliff circle of Poets Will be performing at a street festival in the Bishop Street Arts district in Old Oak Cliff. 
 
The Festival will be in the afternoon through the early evening. We will eed Oak Cliff poets at 3:45, 5:45. and 6:45 to do 15 min slots. We may also need poets hanging around to do fill in pieces and stuff with the bands is requested. ao we will move into Suenos to have our usual Sat open mic at 8:30ish. This is going to be fun, come and check it out!  

April 14, 2002

January 23, 2002- The Oakcliff Circle of Poets will be featured at The Arlingtomn Museum of Art, on Main Street in Arlington.The reading held weekly there is hosted by Black Coffee. Come join us in Arlington, several OCCPers will be there, and it promises to be a lot of fun!

Member Events:

APRIL 26TH- The Irving poetry Society will host open
mic poetry readings at the Texas Poetry Festival. We will be hosting from 2:00-4:00 PM. ( Several Oak Cliff Circle poets will be appearing) The festival is at the Dezavala Middle School, at 707 W. Pioneer Drive, in Irving. From Hwy 183, go south on O'Connor Road.Turn right on Pioneer (by Church's Chicken).The school is on the right, halfway between O'Connor and MacArthur.

    July 9, 2002    Paul Sexton will be guest hosting the open mic reading at The Red Star Lounge in Fort Worth. 700 Carroll St., Fort Worth Tx 817 870 2525. Reading is 7:00-10:00pm.

June 10, 2002 - Paul Sexton Will be the featured reader at Barnes & Noble at Preston & Park in Plano at 7:30pm in the Children's Area. Paul will be performing a set of family friendly poetry for families and friends.

May 15th, 2002 After-hours open Mic at the Arlington Museum of Art hosted by Black Coffee, Presents: The Poets of Genuine Lizard Press! William Brian Massey 3- The bad-boy garage poet of Cowtown and Paul E Sexton 3- The Bohemian Buddhist of Oak Cliff. Bring you: POEMS FROM TEXAS!!!!! what is it like to grow up and live in Texas? Come hear the good, the bad, and the ugly! Genuine Lizard Chapbooks will be available for purchase.

PATRICIA GOLDEN:, Will be featured at Half Price Books near 75&Northwest Hwy, on 1st Friday, April 5th at 7 p.m. and would appreciate any ones support.
